Aliens: Ultimate Badasses and Get Away From Her, You B***h!

After almost two years of delays, publisher Gale Force Nine has announced that Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps will now be released in October of this year.

Having been initially revealed back in 2018, Another Glorious Day in the Corps was originally intended to launch sometime in September of that year. However, the upcoming board game was first delayed to 2019, before being pushed back once again - this time to 2020. After Gale Force Nine provided an update earlier this year, in which no release date was confirmed, the status of Another Glorious Day in the Corps was entirely up in the air.

Gale Force Nine has since provided a more concrete update as to when fans can expect the movie board game to arrive, with a Facebook update from the publisher confirming a new release date. Acknowledging that the news has been a long time coming, Gale Force Nine revealed that Another Glorious Day in the Corps would now launch sometime in October 2020.

A co-op board game for one to six players, Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps is inspired by the original 1986 Aliens - directed by James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver - with players able to choose between a selection of characters from the movie including Ripley, Newt, Hicks and more besides.

In Another Glorious Day in the Corps, players are tasked with exploring the doomed intergalactic outpost of Hadley’s Hope in search of survivors and answers, with the threat of xenomorph attacks hanging over their heads. With the option to play one of the six possible missions or take on the epic campaign mode, in which four missions are connected by an overarching plot, players can expect a variety of intense challenges.

As a horror board game, Another Glorious Day in the Corps is sure to have players up against the wall against all manner of gruesome and terrifying creatures.

Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps was designed by Andrew Haught, who has previously created the Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks board game and co-designed the co-op game Firefly: Adventures, which had players working together as the crew of the Serenity.

Other than publishing Another Glorious Day in the Corps, Gale Force Nine is also known for releasing several board games based on existing properties such as Firefly: The Board Game, Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery - which is getting a revised edition later this year - and the newest version of Dune, which is considered to be one of the best board games ever made.

Aside from announcing the new release date for Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps, Gale Force Nine also revealed that the game would be receiving two expansions later this year. Entitled Aliens: Ultimate Badasses and Aliens: Get Away From Her, You B***h! these expansions will introduce additional characters, missions and mechanics - even the option to play as the xenomorphs themselves.
