Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor joins new edition of Doctor Who board game Time of the Daleks

Alongside companions Rose Tyler, River Song and Amy Pond in upcoming expansions.

Become the thirteenth doctor and team up with beloved companions from seasons past in the next edition and upcoming expansions for Doctor Who board game Time of the Daleks.

Featuring Doctors played by Matt Smith, Tom Baker, Peter Capaldi and more besides, Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks is a semi-co-op board game in which players assume the role of one of the time-travelling Gallifreyans as they attempt to stop the Daleks’ new plan to erase the time lord from history altogether.

The players must travel through time to prevent catastrophic paradoxes from occurring in locations such as pre-revolutionary France and future Mars, whilst gathering various companion allies such as Captain Jack Hackness and Martha. By travelling across the board in the TARDIS, gathering sonic charges and tackling various events, one of the multiple Doctors can thwart the Daleks’ schemes and save the day.

Should the Daleks succeed in their plans then all the Doctors lose, but the Doctor Who that successfully defeats the Daleks is named the ultimate winner.

Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks board game layout

The latest edition of Time of the Daleks introduces the latest Doctor - played by Jodie Whittaker - to the upcoming board game, along with several of her companions, including Graham, Ryan and Jasmin. Also included will be a collection of new locations and villains for players to include in their playthroughs.

For players that own the previous edition, the new content will be released as an expansion called the Third & Thirteenth Doctor that also features the eighth Doctor. The upcoming board game expansion also increases the player count to six players, instead of just four.

Additional expansions on the way include two new Friends packs, which add a new mechanic to the board game enabling the Doctor’s companions to lend a more active helping hand. These expansions feature models and friend decks for companions such as Rose, Clara, Rory and Donna, among others, that players can have team up with their chosen Doctor.
