TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night has a release date

Get to the Bottom of it all.

TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night, the upcoming latest game in the time-travelling adventure series, has been given a release date at the end of next month.

Inspired by the Shakespearean comedy about an ancient fae court falling into strife over a wedding, TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night sees players exploring an alternative time frame where the characters from the play actually exist. The next entry in the Blue Cycle - a series of standalone scenarios set in the TIME Stories universe - A Midsummer Night challenges two to four players to piece together a collection of clues in a world where nothing is as it seems.

As agents in the T.I.M.E organisation - a secret society that attempts to solve mysteries across history and into the future - players need to explore the realm of fairies to figure out what seems out of place and how they can fix it. With the course of time changing constantly and bizarre happenings around every turn, players will have to use all their wits if they’re going to crack the case in the co-op game.

A Midsummer Night is one of four releases in the Blue Cycle, with the others being The Hadal Project, Damien and The Cavendish Mansion. All four are designed to provide shorter and more focused experiences than the core TIME Stories game, with The Hadal Project, Damien and The Cavendish Mansion presenting players with three very different scenarios.

In The Hadal Project, players’ agents travel to the future of 2099 where a virus is sweeping the Earth and a scientific base hidden underwater holds the key to humanity’s survival. Meanwhile, Damien - which was released as a free print-and-play demo earlier this year - whisks players back in time to 1958, where a young boy goes missing in a suburban North American town. The Cavendish Mansion, which is due for release in 2021, directly follows Damien, with a group of children entering an old English manor house in search of their lost friend.

TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night was co-created by Antonin Merieux and Manuel Rozoy, who co-designed the original TIME Stories and all the previous entries in the Blue Cycle. TIME Stories Revolution is a new edition of the original TIME Stories, intended to update the series and support various cycles of unique scenarios, with the Blue Cycle being the first.

Space Cowboys is the publisher behind A Midsummer Night as well as the core TIME Stories game. The studio has also released beginner board game Splendor and Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective - The Thames Murders & Other Cases, the latest edition of the long-running mystery series.

TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night is set to be released on October 30th at a retail price of $35 (£27).
