The Captain is Dead app stars Blood of Zeus and Deus Ex actor Elias Toufexis

Elias Toufexis, the actor behind Deus Ex’s Adam Jensen and Blood of Zeus’ Seraphim, is voicing a character in the upcoming digital version of co-op board game The Captain is Dead.
The actor will lend their voice to the role of the Crewman, one of the characters featured in The Captain is Dead. One of seven potential roles players can choose from, the main advantage of the Crewman is that in place of another character being injured, they can be removed from the board and placed back on the bridge at the start of the next turn. Personality-wise, Thunderbox Entertainment - the developer responsible for the digital board game - described the Crewman as “a walking death sponge”.
Other video games featuring Toufexis’ voice include the recent Immortals: Fenyx Rising - where the actor plays Prometheus - Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Far Cry: Primal and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Toufexis has also appeared in a number of television shows such as Amazon sci-fi series The Expanse, where the actor played multiple roles; Star Trek: Discovery; and Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments.
The digital version of The Captain is Dead is a co-op game that supports single-player and local multiplayer modes. In the video game, much like the tabletop original, players take charge of a spaceship that just recently lost its acting captain and is currently under attack from hostile alien forces.
Players can pick from a selection of different roles to control, with each member of the crew having the skills required to keep the ship from being boarded or destroyed. Throughout the game, players must carefully decide which actions to assign to each of their characters, with the different sections of the ship enabling different actions. Players must survive long enough to repair the ship’s jump core so that they can escape the invading aliens.
Aside from featuring voice work from Toufexis, The Captain is Dead also stars the voice of Kevan Brighting, an actor known for their appearances in video games such as Portal, The Stanley Parable and Void Bastards.
The digital version of the Captain is Dead is set to be released on PC, Android and iOS on February 1st, after being delayed last year.
