The Fallout RPG & 3D Miniatures by Modiphius deal includes everything necessary to play the miniatures title set in Fallout’s post-apocalyptic world, based on the long-running video game franchise from Bethesda. The first pledge level awards the basic rules, a quick-start guide, cards and other necessary accessories and The Undiscovered Vault adventure - a 16-page delve into darkness created by Pathfinder and Iron Kingdoms writer Matt Goetz. All pdfs and terrain files can be downloaded DRM-free and are compatible with several printing formats.
Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, released by Modiphius in 2018, is a small-scale miniatures wargame for one to eight players that emphasizes story-based missions over pure combat scenarios. Squads of survivors scavenge for supplies, defend holdfasts and traverse deadly expanses of wilderness in tabletop scenarios full of threats. Caps and resources can be used to repair or upgrade gear before venturing back out for another desperate run.
Additional pledge levels provide access to several other printable terrain and miniatures, such as an only partially ruined Red Rocket Gas Stop, Vertibirds and other vehicles, and room fulls of furniture, boxes and miscellaneous terrain that can provide cover from the Wasteland’s constant dangers. Several supplements and adventures will also be awarded at these tiers - Caught in the Crossfire’s narrative spans ten scenarios and ropes in several of the settings major factions, while the Campaign Book supplement includes rules for solo play, settlement construction and a host of smaller events and quest to bolster individual play sessions.
Pledgers can also grab the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare RPG sourcebook, which translates the combat style and unique narrative of the miniatures game to a tabletop roleplaying setting. Published by Modiphius, the book contains all the character creation and worldbuilding tools necessary to start a campaign through the bomb-blasted remains of U.S. civilisation. It also includes three one-shot missions that can be linked together to form an introductory adventure for new players.
Proceeds will benefit the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, an organization that advocates for racial justice by providing litigation and education for people of color while also striving for “structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans,” according to their website. Pledgers can choose how much of their donation goes towards both the NAACP and the publishers when paying.
